New window tint care Some important tips for you once your window film is installed to help with longevity and to keep it from prematurally damaging. Failure to do so can leave your window film damaged and could lead to a reinstall.
Rolling Those Windows Down: We recommend that you do not roll your windows down for 48 hours (2 days) from the time of tinting. This will make sure that the film adhears to the glass properly. Looks like you're going to have to open your door at the drive thru. This will also prevent the premature peeling and/or bubbling of the film.
DON'T FREAK OUT Let It Dry: After your glass is tinted the first few days they may seem a little hazy. You could even get little water spots forming. Do not freak out! This is the normal deal. When we put the film on we can only reduce the humidity by so much, sigh...nature right. As the film dries those pesky water pockets will start to evaporate and your windows will begin to look A-mazing! The dryer the weather the faster it dries. Imagine that!
Cleaning:Don’t!Give it some time before washing your car or cleaning the windows. We can always get your car detailed right before the tint. Actually we recommend that it is always good to free the whole vehicle of dust before tinting. Really cleaning too early is the same reason as rolling your windows down, you could to peel the tint if water gets in between before adhesion, give it at least 2 days dry and adhere. Your windows are cleaned before window film is applied. Once you go to clean again here are a few more tips. Use a soft paper towel, or microfiber and a cleaner that doesn't have ammonia in it. Please Don't use Blue Windex or any blue window cleaners because they usually have ammonia! Use any green or citrus Windex or window cleaner, those window cleaners are made specifically for tinted windows so it won't harm the film.
